Career Exploration

The RHS Alumni Externship (RAX) program is an opportunity for current RHS juniors and seniors to meet, receive mentorship from, and network with alumni (and parents) from a variety of career backgrounds. RAX session hosts will share a day/week in the life of their job, discuss how they navigated from high school/college to their career, and allow time for interactive Q&A. RAX sessions are open to all RHS juniors/seniors

How RAX Began

RAX began as an original idea discussed between Dr. Gorman, Bill McCabe, and Tim Monahan. Extensive research of mentorship/externship programs at similar high schools (and small colleges) was done, prior to the creation of the program. RAX eventually began incorporated into the RHSAA as part of the Career Committee in 2020 with the help of members Jamie Cariddi, Jason D’Angelo, Alex Miller, and Fiona Goldberg- Rosenholz.
